Valtournenche is situated at 1.524 metres above sea level and it is one of the major resort places in the Aosta Valley. It offers many opportunities, both to
winter and summer tourists.
They appreciate itr for its pleasant and quiet environment, which is lively at the same time, whitout having lost, though, the advantages of mountain villages' traditional lifestyle.
Modern ski lifts are available to skiers and enable them to experience exciting downhill runs on very good snow slopes, whose network covers up to 1.500 metres of height difference. The
Valtournenche slopes are not the only ones available, because, thanks to the connection with other ski lifts, the Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt slopes can also be enjoyed: the off-piste skiing can be practised in spring time together with the combination of skiing and alpinism. During summertime, it is also possible to ski on the glacier.
