Housed in some rooms of Palazzo Piccolomini, the museum exhibits the precious collection of the Tablets of Biccherna including about 103 wooden tablets painted by famous Sienese artists between 1257 and 1659 and used as book-covers for the public registers of Biccherna and Gabella.
